2. The Vulnerabilities of a Mighty Man or Woman of God
Key point: More than anyone, mighty men and women of God are vulnerable to failure. Vulnerability #1: Mighty Men and Women of God are Vulnerable in the Area of Spiritual Authority. Mat 16:21 From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day. 22 Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee. 23 But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.

3. Spiritual Authority
1. Whenever you communicate up, do so “carefully.” 2. Submission to spiritual authority is a gateway to progress. Exo 20:12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. 1 Thes. 5:12 And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; 13 And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves.

4. Spiritual Authority
1. Whenever you communicate up, do so “carefully.” 2. Submission to spiritual authority is a gateway to progress. 3. Spiritual leaders are not perfect and neither are you.

Vulnerability #1: Mighty Men and Women of God are Vulnerable in the Area of Spiritual Authority. Vulnerability 2: Mighty Men and Women are Vulnerable in the Area of being Self-Willed. Tit 1:7 For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;

6. Spiritual Authority and Disagreements
1. Search the Scriptures. 2. Sincerely pray about it. 3. Respectfully approach the pastor/leader “if necessary.” 1 Tim. 5:19 Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses. John 8:29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.
