7. Aligning Grades to Goals
Each UNIT is designed based on what you are trying to learn.
Gradebook will align to these GOALS, not to activities.
The purpose: You will be able to clearly identify what you have mastered and what area(s) you need to address.
You can improve your grade for that goal (following requirements).
You will also track your own understanding
If you below proficient you will be required to improve

Will be cumulative.
Cannot be reassessed.
The final assessment may be exempted as per school guidelines

9. Gradebook scale: 10 – Mastery 9.5 – High Advanced 9 – Advanced
8 – Proficient
7 – Developing
6 – Beginner
5 – Below Basic

10. Eschool Unit objective = unassisted grade based on goals
Unit goals = 1 (good!) or Z (not good)
Weekly effort = did you do homework, etc

11. Gradebook Codes Blank – score not entered yet (not counted)
X – excused score (you are good)
Z – zero due to absence or goal not mastered
Any Z in gradebook, at all, = must take the final
0 – score was not made up or no effort was given and stands as a zero.
