History AGC Voted to move to mandatory CLS 100 February 2013 Policy….
All new degree seeking students will take CLS 100 unless they have: ~ a 3.0 HS GPA or higher ~ 12 or more college transfer credits ~ transfer credit for an FYE class at another college ~ tested into PY 100 Implemented Mandatory CLS 100 Winter 2014

Current Process Students with 2.99 HS GPA or lower get CLS indicator
If don’t take CLS or drop class they get CLH indicator Challenge exam

Registration Data Fall 2016 … 2,855 New Degree Seeking Students
As of 11/1/16 1,460 of them were registered for winter (51% of all new students). 905 of the 2,855 were enrolled in CLS 100. 210 of those were in Middle College and would not yet have registered for winter (and couldn’t). Thus there were 695 eligible students in CLS 100 to register for winter and as of 11/1/16, 509 were enrolled (73% CLS students).
