Find the axis of symmetry (x = -b/2a) Substitute your x value into your original equation to get a y-value Put x and y together to get your vertex coordinates Find the Domain (ALL REAL NUMBERS) Find the Range (look at your y-value in the vertex) y ≥ when you have a positive “a” y ≤ when you have a negative “a” Find the y-intercept (look at “c” in your equation Find the increasing interval (look at x-value in the vertex coordinates) > when a is positive < when a is negative Find the decreasing interval (look at x-value in the vertex) < when a is positive > when a is negative
