How do we get the data into Office 365?
We offer two choices to get our customers data into Office 365.
Shipping drives to Microsoft Azure Datacenter which will then get imported into a Azure Storage Blob.
Uploading the files directly over the network into a Azure Storage Blob.

Once imported the data is available in the cloud so the Information Worker can access it on all machines using Outlook and OWA rather then a PST on someone‘s desktop.

What do I need in order to start?
The PST files.
For drive shipping and network upload, you need to collect them so that they can be copied into the hard drives or uploaded to the cloud storage destination.
Please make sure the PST files are not connected to Outlook.
Please make sure the PST file names do not end with a dot (.), a forward slash (/), or a sequence or combination of the two.
You will need to have an Office 365 tenant with active users and mailboxes for all the users for who the content is going to be imported. The mailboxes have to exist for us to import (if target is primary, we need primary mailbox, if target is archive we need archive mailbox for the user). If the target mailbox for a PST does not exist, we will not import the PST. Information about inactive users will be in the FAQ.
Note: Having an Azure subscription/storage account is not a pre-requisite. We will create an Azure storage account for every customer using this feature.
You will need to prepare a PST to user mapping file.
They are very Case Sensitive.
Customer will probably have challenges in this area.

Step 2: Get the storage account key and URL
You can get the destination Azure URL and key from the Import tab in the O365 admin portal (by clicking on the + button to create a new network upload job).
Note: When you do this for the first time, this might take up to 2 minutes to load.
In the first screen of the wizard, you will be provided with an option to securely copy the storage account key and the URL.
Step 3: Use the Microsoft Azure AZCopy Tool to upload your data.
Step 4: Create the PST to user mapping file
Make a list of PSTs and designate the mailbox into which each will be imported.
Create the PST Mapping file
You can import more than 1 PST into the same mailbox.
Step 5: Create a new Import Job in the O365 admin portal
Once you have uploaded the data, navigate to your O365 admin center page, and click on the “Import” tab.
Click the + button to create a new “network upload” job.
