2. What is a Complex sentence?
A complex sentence isn’t like a compound sentence where you can just join two ideas using a connective.
Complex sentences use main clauses and subordinate clauses to develop ideas.
What is the difference between a main clause and a subordinate clause?

3. Clauses
You should remember from last half term that a clause is a group of words that has to contain a subject and a verb. Main Clauses – could stand alone as a complete sentence Subordinates Clauses – wouldn’t make sense on its own. ALTHOUGH I’M NOT VERY GOOD, I REALLY ENJOY PLAYING FOOTBALL.
