Geological Changes to Earth:
Around 12,000 BCE (Before Common Era) the Earth, which was once covered in sheets of ice, grew warmer; The oceans began to rise; The Earth’s soil was now free to restore itself – minerals replenished the soil and new plant life, like wild oats, lentils, and cereals began to grow.

The Neolithic Era Begins:
The New Stone Age begins, aka The Neolithic Era: 12,000 BCE to 4,000 BCE; The warmer climate caused early humans to migrate, or travel to distant, more habitable places; Special tools were developed to deal with the demands of living in a different environment; As a result complex language systems evolved;

The Rise of Agriculture:
Agriculture is the raising of crops and animals for human use; At first, hunting animals was easier, but over time farming provided a more reliable food supply; People domesticated plants and animals; To domesticate means “to train something to be useful to people.” The storage of food became possible! Human life grew safer and more predictable.
