Prime Mover – Muscle causes primary movement in one direction
Antagonist – Muscle moves in opposite direction
Synergist – Muscle that assists the primary mover or prevents unwanted movement
Paired prime movers & antagonists are often referred to as flexors & extensors.

4. Movement Types Flexion – decreases angle between two bones
Extension – increases angle

5. Movement Types
Circumduction – Tracing a cone shape with a body part

6. Movement Types Rotation – Movement around a central axis
Adduction – Movement of the limb away from the midline.
Abduction – Movement of the limb toward the midline.
