WHAT IS SOIL? Soil is unconsolidated upper part of earth crust in which plants grow. It is made up of many things, such as weathered rock and decayed plants and animal matter. Soil is formed over a long period of time.

Soil conservation is a preservation of soil against deterioration or erosion, and maintenance of the fertilizing elements for crop production
