10 Lies We Tell Ourselves Think about your life, is there one particular sin you have problems with? We hear and say: “It’s just so hard to deal with!”

10 Lies We Tell Ourselves If an enemy wants to stop progress they often spread lies and deceit to stop progress. Our enemy uses the same tactics! In fact he is so clever, he can cause YOU to tell YOURSELF lies!!

10 Lies We Tell Ourselves We must recognize these lies for what they are to start progressing forward again. 7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. James 4:7

Lie #1 – “I Don’t Have Time.”
It’s a matter of priority. Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 Matthew 6:33 Matthew 16:24-27

Lie #2 – “I Have Plenty Of Time.”
Procrastination? Laziness? This is a problem. Proverbs 6:6,9;10:26 Life is fleeting. 1 Peter 1:24; James 4:14; 1 John 2:17

Lie #3 – “No One Will See Me.”
Is this really true? Numbers 32:23; 2 Samuel 12:7-9; Acts 5 No one will see me… On the internet. Take a drink. Think an evil thought.

Lie #4 – “God Understands, He Made Me This Way.”
God made you perfect. Ezekiel 28:15; James 1:17; Genesis 1:26 Man chooses to follow after sin. God wants us to Repent. Acts 17:30; Luke 13:3; 2 Peter 3:9

Lie #5 – “I Can Ask For Forgiveness Later.”
What a shameful misuse of God’s grace. True repentance come from the heart. Romans 6:17 Are you sure you will be able to repent later?

Lie #6 – “It’s Ok If My Intentions Are Good.”
Uzzah had “good” intentions. 2 Samuel 6:1-7; 1 Chronicles 15:13 Remember Uzzah when you start to sin for Good intentions.

Lie #7 – “I’m Sure God Is Pleased With It.”
It feels right. 1 Samuel 15:10-23 The majority approves. Exodus 23:2; 1 Kings 18:17-40; 2 John 9-11

Lie #8 – “I’m Too Young.” What about Timothy? 1 Timothy 4:12; Titus 2:6-8; 1 John 2:13 Growing and working for the Lord MUST start sometime.

Lie #9 – “I’m Too Old, I’ve Done My Part.”
Old age is PRIME TIME in the life of a Christian. Titus 2:3-4; Acts 15:22 Instead of “Too Old” maybe “Finally Old Enough”

Lie #10 – “There’s No Way He’ll Ever Convert.”
The Gospel is powerful. Romans 1:16-17; Hebrews 4:12 The Lord is working. Luke 1:37; Acts 9:1,20; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11

10 Lies We Tell Ourselves I don’t have time. My intentions are good.
I have plenty of time. God is pleased with it. No one will see me. I’m too young. God understands, He made me. I’m too old. I can ask for forgiveness later. He’ll never convert.

10 Lies We Tell Ourselves Are you guilty of any of these things? The time is NOW… “…Resist the devil and he will flee…” James 4:7
