7
test tube holder Function: to hold test tubes, especially when the test tube is very hot or cold or is being transferred to a place that is dangerous to exposed hands
8
flask Function: to hold larger volumes than test tubes; units in milliliters (mL)
9
test tube rack Function: to hold multiple test tubes
10
Bunsen burner Function: to create intense heat and an open flame; exercise caution when using
11
test tube Function: to hold, mix, or heat small quantities of solid or liquid

dissecting needles Function: to probe a specimen that is being examined or dissecting; often used to hold open flaps of skin or tissue
19
forceps Function: to grasp and hold objects
20
scalpel Function: to cut during a dissection; VERY SHARP!!!
21
dissecting pin Function: to hold open or to hold down parts of a specimen during a dissection; can be pushed through the specimen and into the pan
22
scissors Function: to cut
23
microscope Function: to examine small objects in greater detail
24
