Marketing materials free of carrier branding/plan information/benefit information Business cards are not considered Generic Marketing Materials

3 Requirements for GMMs Document the products you intend to market. Use the full, unabbreviated format when you refer to Medicare product types: Medicare Advantage Plans Medicare Supplement Insurance Prescription Drug Plans Clearly identify yourself as the sender – include your name/agency name, & phone number All text must be at least 12 point font or larger Medicare Supplement Insurance plans must be referred to specifically as ‘Medicare Supplement Insurance’ before it is referred to as ‘Medigap.’

4 GMM Restrictions No carrier logos, plan/benefit information, or references to Star Ratings No DOB request on a Business Reply Card (paper or electronic) No superlatives/qualified superlatives, e.g. ‘the best’ or ‘one of the best’ Don’t use the word ‘free’ in relation to benefits Don’t use the word ‘entitled,’ unless it is accurately used as it relates to Part A Don’t use the word ‘seniors’ to refer to the Medicare-eligible population
