Having discovered that France, UK and USA were collecting private data, revealed this information to Guardian journalist. Left USA and sought asylum in several countries. Currently residing in Moscow airport.

Data Collection NSA relies on two statues to legally justify their actions: Section 702 of the FISA Amendments Act (FAA) and Section 215 of the Patriot Act However, multiple reports have indicated that the statutes have been interpreted in secret by the FISA intelligence courts to grant much broader authority than they were originally written to allow.

David Miranda David Miranda, partner of Glenn Greenwald, was detained at Heathrow airport to be questioned. Although released, his electronics equipment was confiscated. MI5 went to Guardian headquarters and attempted to destroy hard drives. Under the First Amendment of their Constitution, the US allow for freedom in their national press, by stark contrast to the UK.

Alternative Journalism – Media Ninja
In Brazil, a journalism collective has experienced widespread success in covering the protests in June this year. Operation mainly improvised, using cameras and smartphones. Their images and footage has been used in court to serve as evidence, sometimes to contrast with police briefings.
