Border Group Parish Council
‘When representations have been received the NDP Steering Group be asked to give them due consideration and where appropriate and reasonable hold discussions with any parties suggesting improvements to the plan where these are relevant to those matters that an NDP can cover. The NDP Steering Group should include short reports on such discussions to the Parish Council together with a schedule of representations and list of any alterations arising from this particular consultation period.’

Housing Options No Change
Seek more development on a limited number of larger sites to replace any lost. Change approach from spreading development equally across settlements. Undertake another 'call for sites‘. Seek clear evidence that level of development cannot be accommodated. Effectively restate HC Policy/extensions to SB
17
Restate HC Policy/Extensions to SB
New housing development will only be permitted in accordance with the following criteria: (a) Should be directed away from areas at highest risk of flooding in accordance with national policy (b) Located within or adjacent to existing Settlement Boundary or as close as constraints allow (c) Density of development is appropriate and proportionate to its surroundings and immediate environmental conditions with 4-5 dwellings the optimum size of any development (f) Is not backland development which impacts on the character of the village (g) Safe and appropriate access can be achieved (h) Can be accommodated safely within the existing highway infrastructure (j) Ensures that any likely significant effect on the River Wye SAC is avoided or adequately mitigated; and (k) Development shall not unduly harm the amenity of neighbouring properties and existing development shall not unduly harm the amenity of any new residential property.
