3. France Stretches out
The French were starting to move into the Ohio Valley
This was a little to close for comfort for the British
George Washington is sent in to tell the French to back off

4. Washington fails and War Begins
After 21 year old Washington was unable to push back the French, the British Prime Minister began an all out war -1756
Washington lost a few more battles and the British weren’t doing great in the Colonies

5. The Battle for Quebec 1759
The British were slowly winning battles against the French
The biggest victory was on the Plains of Abraham where General James Wolfe and his troops snuck up on the French
The Battle only lasted an hour but the British were victorious
Gen. James Wolfe along with the Marquis de Montcalm were injured during the battle and died.
This battle gained Canada for the British

7. The End of the War
After the Battle for Quebec, the Spanish joined the French
The war continued outside of North America in other territories around the world like India
The British were ultimately victorious

9. Pontiac’s Rebellion
Ottawa chief Pontiac organized a rebellion against the British
It failed but hundreds still died
Britain decided, in order to protect the British and the Natives, to create the Proclamation Line of 1763

10. The Proclamation Line of 1763
This line prevented settlement west of the Appalachians
This was the land that had just been fought over
The Settlers were not happy and went on settling anyway

Because of the events of the French and Indian War, the Colonists are moving closer to rebellion
