A group of people banded together for a common purpose. Examples: NRA- National Rifle Association. NAACP- National Association for the Advancement of Colored People AARP- American Association of Retired People.

11 Lobbyists Lobbyists Someone who tries to persuade legislators to vote for legislation Often these are people paid to try and change how people vote.

Lobbyists work for organizations that know more about issues than a lot of politicians. Ex: ACS CAN People listen to who give them money Contributions come with strings attached.
