2. Ground penetrating radar image with corresponding panoramic photograph of cross-bedded dune sand at Site 10 in Wisconsin’s Central Sand Plain (CSP). Also shown are OSL age estimates taken from the dune (20-50% medium sand) and underlying lake sediments (<5% medium sand). OSL ages from this study showed that most dunes were active between 14 to 10 ka, providing the first numerical age estimates for eolian activity in the CSP and minimal age estimates for the draining of glacial Lake Wisconsin (GLW).
