1 Fire Alters & Life After Death.

2 Fire Altars -Rituals and Sacrifices.
Fire rituals and sacrifices were Important to the Vedic religious practices. The Indus people worshipped Using the fire as it is believed that They had religious connections With fire. They, potentially, had a fire deity.

3 Fire Alters -In the Home.
These fire alters were made in The homes of the Indus people. This is potential evidence of them Worshipping in the home. This could Link to how modern day Hindu's Have an alter in the home to Worship their deities.

4 Life After Death -afterlife.
From graves, archaeologists can tell that the Indus valley people were buried with clay pots, figures and beads. It is thought that them being buried with these items was believed to get them into the afterlife. To offer as a token of passage into the afterlife. It is thought that the Indus valley people were a peaceful community due to the lack of armour and weapons in the graves.

5 Life After Death -cremation and Death mound.
Later on in the Indus period, the dead were cremated and then sometimes put into a pot to be buried as ash. The city ‘Mohenjo-Daro’ means “heap of the dead”. This link to a ritual they are thought to have taken part in to do with Equinox, the changing seasons.
