Jesus didn’t stay dead

Jesus chose crucifixion
I am the good shepherd, and I know My own and My own know Me, 15 even as the Father knows Me and I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep.

16 I have other sheep, which are not of this fold; I must bring them also, and they will hear My voice; and they will become one flock with one shepherd

17 For this reason the Father loves Me, because I lay down My life so that I may take it again. 18 No one has taken it away from Me, but I lay it down on My own initiative. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This commandment I received from My Father.” John 10:14-18

He didn’t stay dead

Nobody expected to find NO Body when they went to the tomb.

John 20:1-3 Now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene came early to the tomb, while it was still dark, and saw the stone already taken away from the tomb. 2So she ran and came to Simon Peter and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and said to them,

“They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid Him.”

The large crowd of the Jews then learned that He was there; and they came, not for Jesus’ sake only, but that they might also see Lazarus, whom He raised from the dead. 10 But the chief priests planned to put Lazarus to death also; 11 because on account of him many of the Jews were going away and were believing in Jesus. John 12:9-11

These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might 20 which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places Eph 1:19-20

“The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and the scribes and be killed, and after three days rise again” Mark 8:31

When someone rises from the dead you really must deal with it in some way.

THE IMPACT OF THE RESURRECTION: Jesus is who He said He was

“The evidence for Jesus' resurrection is so strong that nobody would question it except for two things: First, it is a very unusual event. And second, if you believe it happened, you have to change the way you live.”—Wolfhart Pannenberg

Aldous Huxley: “I had motive for not wanting the world to have a meaning. For myself, as well as most of my contemporaries, the philosophy of meaninglessness was one of liberation, and the liberation we sought was liberation from Christian morality.” Ends and Mean
