2. Mean Temperature Average temperature for given amount of time.
Daily Mean Temp- average 24 hour temp
Monthly Mean Temp- average of the monthly daily means.
Annual Mean Temp- average of the 12 monthly means.

3. Temperature Range Range=Change.
Temperature Range- the difference (or change) in temperature for a given amount of time.
Daily Range- difference from high to low daily temps.
Annual Range- difference in warmest monthly mean temp and coldest.

4. Isotherm Iso= same therm- temparature
A line on a weather map connecting areas of equal temperature.

5. Temperature Gradient
Amount of temperature change per unit of distance.
Usually used by meteorologists vertically (up! Through the atmosphere) and NOT horizontally.
