A static character is one who remains basically unchanged throughout a work
Much like static on a T.V. set will stay the same

All he cares about is finding the spring

4. Dynamic Characters
A dynamic character undergoes a permanent change during a story
Much like dynamite will cause something to change by explosion

5. For example: Jack Beagle from “The Elevator”
Winnie Foster from Tuck Everlasting
At first she wants to escape her life; she is sheltered and afraid. When she returns home she is much more independent than when she left.
