The trees show the phylogenetic relationships between the rrs, ompB and sca4 genes among the validated Rickettsia species and 'Candidatus Rickettsia barbariae'. Sequences were aligned and analysed using the ClustalW and Mega v.4 programmes. Bare scales represent nucleotide sequence divergence.
