What are the types of wildlife habitat?
Habitat for animal wildlife can be classified based on ecosystems Ecosystems are in areas known as biomes A biome is a large area with a distinct combination of animals and plants

What are the habitat requirements?
Wildlife species have life requirements that must be met by their habitat to insure well-being Food Water Cover (Shelter) Space

Feed Me!!!! All living organisms require food
Food provides the nutrients needed to live, grow, and reproduce Food gives you energy

Water… Where’s the Water!!
Water is the basic need of life Water determines what species of plants will grow Plants will determine which animals will live there

Sources of Water in a habitat?
Some wildlife animal species get most of their water through the food that they eat Many need a watering area for drinking once or twice a day

Cover Me… Also referred to as shelter
Cover is needed for most wildlife species Vegetation or other material that provides safety in a habitat Animals use cover for nesting, resting, and protection
