ELA:
We are going to begin our next unit (wondering and questioning about expository non fiction texts). The text we are reading this week in class is Fantastic Rain Forest Frogs by Dorothy Hinshaw Patent and illustrated by Kendahl Jan Jubb. We are continuing our expository nonfiction unit in writing.
Vocabulary:
Flashy: “very big, bright, or expensive.”
Fantastic: “strange, unusual, or unbelievable.”
Diverse: “different from one another.”
Avoid: “keep away from.”
Deadly: “dangerous or likely to cause death.”
Threatened: If something is threatened, it is in danger or likely to be harmed or destroyed.
Math:
Our math skill this week is finding equivalent fractions.
