2 Simple Animals Animals that have bodies made up of only a few types of cells are called simple animals. Sponges-bodies look like bags Worms-bodies are like tubes

3 Complex Animals This category includes most animals.
Bodies are made up of many parts. Such as : dogs, cats, cows, birds, etc.

4 Vertebrates These animals have backbones.
The skeleton inside the body supports the animal. These include: humans and other mammals, reptiles, and many others

5 Invertebrates No backbone
Body is supported by an outer shell, instead of bones on the inside Including arthropods (animals that have legs with several joints): ants, spiders, and crabs

6 Major difference between plants and animals is . . .
Plants make their own food, by a process called photosynthesis. Animals do not make their own food.
