Week of October 9th Fun Things to do at home: It’s the perfect time to go to an orchard and pick apples off the tree! When children help prepare food, they are more likely to try something new. Below is a quick and easy recipe for you to make with your child. Apple Dippers Granny Smith Apples Premade caramel dipping sauce Lemon juice Sprinkles, shredded coconut, graham cracker crumbs, cookie crumbles, mini chocolate chips, Slice and core the apples. Toss with lemon juice to preserve freshness. Dip in caramel topping and dip in your favorite toppings! Enjoy! . What is going on this week? This week we will review the letters S, A, T, and I. The number 5 will be introduced. We will continue our study of the square and the color orange. We will continue our book study “Ten Apples Up On Top” by Dr. Seuss. We are counting with apples and practicing balancing apples on our heads. Can you balance an apple? We will taste and graph apples. Can you predict your child’s favorite? Golden delicious, red delicious or granny smith? In Art we will paint with apples.
