Figure 1 Opposite T Cell:DC and T Cell:B Cell Interactions Promote Tem and Tcm Cell Differentiation After encounter with antigen-bearing DCs, naive CD4+ T cells activate and undergo expansion. Sustained interaction of T cells with DCs leads to IL-2 and IL-12-dependent T-bet upregulation and subsequent terminal Th1 cell differentiation. Sustained interaction of T cells with B cells upregulates Bcl6 and represses T-bet, which favors Tfh and Tcm cell development.
