In Jesus’ church, there are many members in one body; many, but one.
Main Idea In Jesus’ church, there are many members in one body; many, but one.
6
12:4 – 11 In the one body, many differences of gifts exist.
These gifts come from one God in three Persons. Each believer has a gift to help others.
7
12:12 – 26 “…the body is one and has many members…” (v. 12)
No barriers hold anyone back from becoming a believer (v. 13). Saying “No” to your role means you are still part of the body! God has created this diversity in unity (v. 18).
8
12:12 – 26 (continued.) One member cannot say to another, “I have no need of you.” Members are to tend to each member with equal care (v. 25). One hurt member hurts the whole body; one honored member brings rejoicing to the whole body (v. 26).
9
Application Affirming what God has already called you to.
