Filtering out wastes Waste and needed materials are filtered out of the blood Needed materials return to the blood Waste is eliminated from the body

Urine formation Urine forms from the filtered material in the kidney
The material that is filtered out and not recycled back to the body (glucose, water, etc) will collect in tubes in the kidney then are sent out of the body

Excretion and Homeostasis
Excretion maintains homeostasis by keeping the body’s internal environment stable and free of harmful levels of chemicals. Organs responsible for excretion and homeostasis are kidneys, lungs, skin and liver
