Crisis in Venezuela Crisis in Nicaragua We are going to watch a short clip of the crisis in Venezuela where people are starving, no access to electricity, and the country is at the brink of war As you watch: Can you identify what is making this situation difficult? What are the issues with the elections? What are the most visible impacts on the people of Venezuela? Crisis in Venezuela Now we are going to watch a video on the situation in Nicaragua: As you watch: Identify the issues in Nicaragua What are the similarities/differences to Venezuela? We started this experiment in Democracy in 1776, and in 1789 we took a bigger step with the U.S. Constitution From day 1, our “little experiment” has had to fight for every breath of existence We do not have a perfect system…no disagreement But we do have people with the will to FIGHT!
