Luke 24:25–27 (NASB95) 25 And He said to them, “O foolish men and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! 26 “Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things and to enter into His glory?” 27 Then beginning with Moses and with all the prophets, He explained to them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures.

Why was it necessary? Because the wages of sin is death
Because God is not respecter of persons Because no other sacrifice was sufficient

BECAUSE THE “WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH”
A principle in every covenant Gen 2:16-17; Ezek 18:20,32; Rom 6:23 Invalidates God’s purpose for man Gen 1:26; 3:27; 1Jn 3:8 Release from sin requires a death Lev 17:11; Heb 9:22 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. BECAUSE NO OTHER SACRIFICE WAS SUFFICIENT
