Project Goal To develop a novel PIS that brings to users fast, simple and relevant information that makes riders trust in the public transportation system and Tren Urbano.

Simulation of the train and buses routes Implementation of zoom and navigation buttons Identification of important landmarks in the area

New set of color patterns More than 40 landmarks have been identified and made mouse sensitive Added buttons for layered information Icon for public buses has been updated with an “AMA” logo Incorporated standard icons

Work Done January – May 2002 Determine the shortest path between two locations and display it Identification of key landmarks has been completed Calculate distance between different destinations surrounding the area Calculate time approximations from the station to these destinations Provide usage guidelines Integrate Roosvelt station to the TU alignment
