Writing Rules:
NO abbreviations, NO contractions (can’t , don’t, we’ll, should’ve, etc.) and spell out numbers less than 100.

3. Thesis Sentence examples
Utopia may seem like a perfect world, but you will learn how dystopia makes ordinary people be heroes.
Parts of a dystopian society are bad, but if you combine the best of utopia with dystopia you will learn how to survive in the best of both.
Utopia and dystopia are opposites, but you will learn that they are not all bad nor all perfect.
People today want to live in a perfect world, but utopia is not the answer, and you will learn that it could lead to a dystopia.
You will learn that either utopia or dystopia in the world can cause good people to become bad.
*Notice that EVERY sentence includes the word LEARN

First, utopia is seen as a nearly perfect place. My first description of utopia is from the movie The Wizard of Oz. As an example, the utopia displayed in the city of Oz makes it seem like everyone who lives in Oz is happy. Examples
Although utopia cannot be a real place today, people can make changes to help the world be a better place even if it is not perfect.
The bravery and heroism displayed Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz show that when things look perfect, we still need a hero in the end.
One of the best examples of a dystopia is from the book The Hunger Games, which shows us that age does not matter when you want to overcome evil.

7. Conclusion: Example Restate thesis
In conclusion, we might want to live in a utopia if we could design its perfection, but we can also work to fix the problems in a dystopia. Think about what you have learned about utopia and dystopia to decide what is best for our world today. If you look at the characters who became heroes in a dystopian society, you will see how they were kind, helpful, and made a difference in their world. Someday you may face the obstacles of living in a world that is becoming a dystopia, but remember you can make a difference.
