The Scheme was Open to All Thermal power Stations Using Coal, Lignite, Biomass, Liquid and Gas as Fuel.

Criteria for Selection:
Phase-1: Evaluation based on Preliminary Informations.
Best TPS were short listed.
Phase-2: The shortlisted TPS have to submit the details of the savings made and the Projects Implemented (In the required format) within 8 days from the date of intimation by BEE.
Phase-3: The member of the award committee may visit the Station for verification of the data supplied.
