1 John 2: 12-14 The Apostle John (at least in his 80’s),
writes some interesting verses meant to encourage and challenge the men of his era (as well as Christians of any era). Like much “fatherly advice”, the importance of it is emphasized through repetition.

1 John 2: 12 & 14a 12 “I am writing to you,
dear children, because your sins have been forgiven on account of [Jesus’] name. 14 I write to you, dear children, because you know the Father.”

1 John 2: 13b & 14c “I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I write to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God lives in you, and you have overcome the evil one.”

1 John 2: 13 & 14b “I am writing to you, fathers, because you know Him
who is from the beginning.”

No matter where you were when you came to church today,
you can make a conscious choice to “walk” differently when you leave: To choose salvation in Jesus’ Name To choose to grow To choose to mature
