NLHSG Breakfast Meeting 2017 29th June 2017 Speaker Profile Phil Vause - Sales Manager at Foster Environmental Ltd. Foster Environmental Ltd based in Scunthorpe North Lincolnshire directly employ more than 50 staff and are the largest Air Conditioning / Data Centre Specialist in both Lincolnshire and Yorkshire. Phil has worked extensively in the HVAC and refrigeration industry for over 35 years, gaining experience in all manner of close control, comfort cooling/heating and refrigeration applications (predominately food retail, Sainsbury, Marks & Spencer and Morrison’s Supermarkets) Refrigerant Gases and Climate Change The advent of commercial refrigerants has changed dramatically from CFC’s to HCFC’c then to HFC’s, with new environmental pressure on refrigerants to once again change to HC, HFO’s and Difluoromethane R32. Vehicle drivers have always been associated with environmental issues, initially the ozone layer but now we face the greater issue of global warming. Phil will talk through where the HVAC industry has come from and where it is being driven toward. For the Health and Safety audience, we will explore the risks faced in the proposed changes ahead.
