4 WHAT IS PBIS? A nationally recognized means to create a proactive discipline structure Brings the school together A set of organizing practices rather than a specific program Clear expectations school wide and universal language.

5 PBIS DESIGN Designed to………
Address classroom management and disciplinary issues on a daily basis. Provides additional support for students who need it. Creates an environment for students that is: Engaging Responsive Productive

6 PBIS REACHES ALL STUDENTS
Students who are: At Risk High Risk Rule Followers With PBS teachers can document when and why students are misbehaving. Once this is determined there are interventions that are in place to help prevent any further behavior problems and classroom disruptions. Students who ALWAYS follow the rules can sometimes fall through the cracks and get left out. This is because teachers have to focus all of their energy on the students who are making bad choices and not recognizing students who are making good choices. PBS allows you to recognize these students.

7 PBIS IS DATA DRIVEN Office Referrals “Check and Connect.”
Outside Referrals Progress Monitoring Office referrals help the Branson PBS team identify which students are constantly sent to the office and what behaviors are causing the referrals.
