Pre-Event Responsibilities
Event Sheets Check-in Athletes Clerking area or at event venue? Escort to/from venue Qualifying marks/procedures Communication with recorders Timing responsibilities? 12/4/2018 USATFCertifiedOfficial

Pre-Event Responsibilities
Monitor warm-ups Advise athletes of time remaining (clock) Shut down venue (make yourself last in line) Communicate with athletes (instructions) Competition order Rulebook in use Introductions? Event Responsibilities
Call up athletes “Up”, “On deck”, “On hold” Make eye contact if possible (still is athlete’s responsibility to be available) Communicate passes to recorder Use P/# signs – no shouting Record TOD of attempt Block approach between attempts Cone/Stand on runway/Block cage 12/4/2018 USATFCertifiedOfficial

Special duties for vertical jumps Enter height sequence on event sheet before event Mark each athlete’s opening height Announce # of athletes at each height Determine standard settings for PV Notify athletes of time/attempt for consecutive or 2-3 athletes remaining 12/4/2018 USATFCertifiedOfficial
