2 PURPOSE OF THIS SESSION
To consider what inquiry-based learning looks like in practice. To develop a deeper understanding of the different levels of inquiry. To present one inquiry-based approach to addressing the elementary Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).

ELABORATION TASK Choose one (or more) NGSS that you currently teach or could be asked to teach. Plan either: ○ A lesson ○ An assignment ○ An experiment ○ A project Using one of the different levels of inquiry CONFIRMATION INQUIRY STRUCTURED INQUIRY GUIDED/DIRECTED INQUIRY OPEN INQUIRY You can make use any of the resources provided to help with this task
