1 Tornado Stem Activity for Students/Teachers

2 Activity Subject: Tornado
Aim of the experiment is to demonstrate A tornado which is a violently rotating column of air that spins while in contact with both the surface of the earth and clouds

3 Experiment / Activity Materials:
Bottle Sand Toothpick Band Spatula Water Grappler

4 Experiment / Activity Security:
Glove Fragile Glass Alert

5 Experimental Procedure:
Fill one of the bottles with water. Break a couple of toothpicks and throw them in. Mix with a spatula by putting some sand. Place the mouth of the second bottle vertically and inversely to the mouth of the first bottle. Using tapes, stick the mouths of the bottles together. Try to glue it so that it does not leak water. Attach the base clamps to the sides of the two bottles. Take the bottles by hand with the cheek and turn the bottles upside down with your hands. In the meantime, examine the inflow that occurs in the pouring water from above.

6 Conclusion There are three factors for the formation of a Tornado: 1. Humid air from ground level to medium levels of atmosphere 2. Unstable Air: Hot air rising continuously from ground level. 3. Lifting force: A lifting force is needed to raise the air. This power usually occurs when the air near the floor warms up. When the weather warms up, it starts to light up and rise. Rising hot air begins to push the cold air upwards which triggers a thunder storm.
