Population Density: 19,656 people / sq. mile (compared to Chicago’s 11,970 people / sq. mile)
Age: For men – 38.1 years, for women – 39.8 years (compared to Chicago’s 33 years for men and years for women)
Ethnicity: 51.63% - White, 20% - African American, 14.21% - Hispanic, 11.38% - Asian, 2.78% - Other (In Chicago: 45.3% - White, 32% - African American, 28% - Hispanic, 5% - Asian)
Income: $46,082 (compared to $47,099 in Chicago)

Boundaries
North: Foster Avenue and the Edgewater neighborhood
East: Lake Michigan
West: Ravenswood Avenue, North Clark Street, and the Lincoln Square neighborhood
South: Montrose Avenue, Irving Park Road, and the Lake View neighborhood
Generally, it is located near the northern end of the city, not too far from Loyola
From Loyola, you can get to Uptown by taking the Red Line to either the Argyle, Lawrence, or Wilson stops

4. Landmarks
Aragon Ballroom – located off of the corner of Lawrence and Winthrop, this venue once featured acts such as jazz groups during the 1920’s and Frank Sinatra and is still a popular concert venue today
Riviera Theater – the former Jazz Age movie theater is now also a popular convert venue
Uptown Theatre – the former movie palace is now closed and deteriorating but there are currently plans to restore and reopen the building in the near future
Graceland Cemetery - this cemetery is the final resting place of many well- known individuals such as architect Daniel Burnham, Marshall Field, and (eventually) film critic Roger Ebert; the Chicago Architecture Foundation offers tours of the cemetery in the spring, summer, and fall

5. Other Places of Interest
The area offers Chicago Gangster tours, as many of the locations in the neighborhood were associated with Al Capone, John Dillinger, and other notorious gangsters
In the northern area of Uptown and just off the Argyle stop, there are a wide variety of Asian restaurants, bakeries, and shops. As a result, the are is often called such names as New Chinatown, Little Vietnam, Little Cambodia, and so on.
Part of Lincoln Park extends into the neighborhood, proving locals a variety of facilities for athletic activities, playgrounds, as well as a lakefront bike and running path
Montrose Beach
Montrose Harbor – local marina and home of the Chicago Corinthian Yacht Club

6. The Restaurant Name: Nha Hang Vietnamese Cuisine
Address: 1032 W. Argyle Street
Review: Overall, we had a very pleasant experience at the restaurant. As soon as we walked in, we were immediately taken care of, and the service was excellent and very friendly. The food was very good (I ordered chicken fried rice, Anthony and Matt both ordered shrimp fried rice, and Ryder ordered a sandwich). And we to our surprise, they gave us ice cream for dessert. It’s a nice little place with good food, good atmosphere, and it’s very colorful on the inside with festive lights and other decorations. Five out of five stars.

8. Why We Chose Uptown
We visited the neighborhood on Friday October 30, 2015
We looked up a list of neighborhoods online and decided on Uptown
But seriously, we picked it because it was pretty close to Loyola and none of us, even though two of us are from Chicago, really knew about the neighborhood. So just from that, we decided to explore the area
