3. The Headset
Purpose and audience is paramount. The social purpose of texts.
Genre reproduction – be careful of simply replicating dominant forms of writing.
Production line approach – show, tell & do.

4. Approaches
Well modelled genre approach – be explicit but allow room to move.
Writing is a process – can be complementary to the genre approach. Plan, draft, edit, refine, review.
