Title Page Below are some simple instructions on how to use this template: 1. You can change the text in the graphical screen above or in the outline area to the left. 2. There is one default background that is indicated by “ ” .This slide acts as a space or a blank screen, use to clear or blank the screen. If you have a large graphic such as a map you could also use this screen. If you insert a new slide you will get this default background. 3. The first five slides have the other backgrounds for the set. To use more than one of these background types in your presentation highlight the one you wish to use and choose copy from the edit menu. Paste this slide where you want it to appear in your presentation, then change the text on this new slide. By copy/pasting the slide in this manor you will keep the background, text formatting and the customized animation from that slide. By using the copy/paste method you find it saves you time and keeps a consistent look through out your presentation. 4.There are a few additional notes written in the slide text wording that may be helpful. Note: We are working on a website that in the future will provide help topics on using sermon outlines in PowerPoint as well as provide sermon templates similar to this one. Check for more information. Pastor/Teacher - Jim Rickard Sunday, February 28, 2010

The Doctrine of Suffering for Blessing. John 15:2 (continued)
3
Prosperity Testing Heb 13:5-7
4
In order to produce “much fruit”, we need to have Divine Viewpoint with self-sacrificial love, “laying down our lives”.
5
Momentum Testing fortifies our souls against human viewpoint and Cosmic thinking, leading to Divine good production, “much fruit”.
6
a. Prosperity tests your steadfastness to the Plan and will of God versus the things of this world that occupy your soul.
7
b. Believers can easily become distracted from God’s Word and Divine good production, being lured away by overemphasis on materialistic things. 1 John 2:15-17
8
c. P.T. is also a test of the true origin of your inner peace and happiness. Is it based on materialistic things of this world or on your relationship with God?
9
Psa 35:27, “Let them shout for joy and rejoice, who favor my vindication; and let them say continually, “The LORD be magnified, who delights in the prosperity of His servant.””
10
1) When you have the same happiness in adversity as well as prosperity, it means you have passed the test. Eccl 7:14; Phil 4:10-13
11
Eccl 7:14, “In the day of prosperity be happy, but in the day of adversity consider - God has made the one as well as the other.”
12
2) If you are unhappy in the midst of prosperity, it means that you have flunked the test due to a lack of doctrine in your soul, or the application thereof.
13
d. There are two categories of Prosperity Testing:
14
1) Individual P.T., in which some form of success challenges the top priority of Occupation with Christ.
15
2) Collective P.T., in which a city, state, nation, or group becomes very prosperous.
16
e. Our capacity to enjoy prosperity must precede the attainment of the prosperity itself. Rom 13:14; Psa 112:1-9
17
Rom 13:14, “But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts.”
18
f. In order to achieve Spiritual Maturity, you must pass the Prosperity Test, where your happiness is based on God’s Word resident within your soul.
19
Psa 30:6, “Now as for me, I said in my prosperity, “I will never be moved.””
20
g. The Cosmic System can offer you success, sex, fame, wealth, promotion, social and professional prosperity, but all of these without capacity will not bring you happiness.
21
Prov 20:19-20, “As in water face reflects face, so the heart of man reflects man. Sheol (hell) and Abaddon (Satan) are never satisfied, nor are the eyes of man ever satisfied.”
22
h. Passing P.T. consolidates your scale of values, making them consistent with the Plan of God, stabilizing the right priorities of life, and giving capacity to enjoy prosperity. 1 John 3:16-18
23
i. Those who pass P.T. receive God's greatest prosperity, the greater blessings of time and eternity. Prov 13:21; 1 Tim 6:17-19
24
Prov 13:21, “Adversity pursues sinners, but the righteous will be rewarded with prosperity.”
