2 Recipe 1: Apple and Banana Compote Recipe 2: Fruit Shake Recipe 3: Pancakes OCTOBER Recipe Dear Parents, In November, we started to do more hands-on cooking. We used a lot of cooking equipments such as microwave oven, blender and electric stove. The students were very excited about it. We prepared some simple recipes. We used fruit in most of our recipes which they find it very healthy and delicious. They like cutting and mixing the ingredients as well. They all enjoyed having a different kind of experience in cooking.

5 Book 1: Freckleface Strawberry Book 2: Olivia Book 3: Madeline NOVEMB ER storybooks Dear Parents, This month, we had another three fun stories that the students had enjoyed listening to. The stories focus more on being unique. All the characters in the stories have their own extra ordinary personalities in their own little way: Olivia, a feisty pig who has too much energy for her own good; Freckleface Strawberry, a girl whos different just like everyone else and; Madeline, a very brave and courageous girl whose not afraid of anything. The students just love each and every book for they themselves can somehow relate to all the stories. The books definitely delivered positive messages to all the students!

7 CONVERSATION CLASS with Teacher Kelley This month we focused on clothing, colors, animals and Winter in our conversation class!

10 Winter Clothing and Activities We read the story Winter is Here and practiced saying winter, clothes, I am cold, and take off/Zip up your jacket

11 We practiced short conversations: My favorite color is… BLUE! My favorite food is… Noodles!

12 Christmas and Winter Activities We talked about sledding, ice-skating, gingerbread man and building snow men! We had a great November and will start to learn new words and phrases next month! Best Wishes- Teacher Kelley

14 This Month we Focused on our Dance Routine

15 We Also learned 5 th position And how to do proper jumps in 5 th 5 th position is one of the most challenging positions…I encourage all my students to practice at home!

17 Turns, Leaps and Balancing It is key to develop balance and rhythm as the building blocks for learning ballet and other forms of dance Therefore, we focus on doing several balancing exercises on each foot… once they were ready I began teaching them turns and jumps! They had a great month in dance class and we look forward to sharing our dance routine with the parents soon!

25 TO THE PARENTS…. In celebration of Egypt Culture Month, we did grids of pyramids using dots and lines to follow. We also colored in flowers using paintbrushes. They were all very cooperative! Please refer to the photos on the following pages. Thank you.
