Landlocked and 6.2 million population of which 63% rural and 37% urban across 66,400 square kilometers Growing faster than national average: 17%/yr. GDP: US $15.9 billion/2008, per capita: US $2,617, yet unequal Q international trade: US $398 million up 79.7% over 2009 and above national rate of 44%---Ningxia-Central Asia-Middle East trade: time and cost savings to markets for specialized food and products, 57 Muslim countries, 1.5 billion population and multi-billion dollar trade prospects

Background-NAR Industry and Agriculture
manufacturing is 43% of GDP and metallurgical is 47% of PRC total Ningdong and Taiyangshan-coal output will grow 80%/yr and 1/3 of GDP by 2020 from 10 million now-130 million tons with US $44 billion investments Qingtongxia aluminum plant. Also, Ningxia magnesium, petroleum, natural gas, electricity with massive reserves in each. agriculture is 11% of GDP in mountains of south: forestry, animal husbandry, processing of dairy products, Muslim beef and mutton, potatoes with processing and storage requirements
