5. Until Ravi was 7 years old, he lived in the red light district in Bhiwandi with his mother, who was a sex worker.
Then she died from tuberculosis, and he was left alone.

6. An old friend of his mother’s, Rani Khan, who had left sex work and now worked for an NGO, took him in. But she couldn’t care for him as well as she wanted to.

7. She asked Sahaara if they could help Ravi
She asked Sahaara if they could help Ravi. Sahaara took Ravi in, and helped him escape the slums. Now he lives in Mahima Boys Home, in Mumbai.
He gets good food, and is cared for by a houseparent.

8. Ravi is going to school now.
He will learn skills he can use to support himself, so Ravi can now look forward to a better, safer future!

9. PRAYER Pray for Ravi, that he will continue to do well in his lessons

Pray for the children who are still living in the Mumbai red light district
