How often do you debate issues with friends/family
How often do you debate issues with friends/family? How do those debates usually end? Has there ever been a time when it has ended poorly? How did it make you feel?

Get into your debate groups
I will be bringing around candy (yay!). Everyone in the group will get a different piece of candy. DO NOT EAT THE CANDY! The assignment: it is your job to debate within your group whose candy is best. Think about flavor, ingredients, size, calorie content, etc. Make it the best argument possible, as only the winner in each group will get to actually eat their candy. NOTE: If you and one of your group members BOTH would like to trade, you may trade your candy. (If there are any allergies, just let me know and I’ll switch out your candy) Get into your debate groups

Remember that both sides of the argument should be researched and discussed within your groups
While you may have split up the research among the group, every member of the group needs to be ready to deliver a 2 minute speech on either side of the topic, so you will need to discuss collaboratively your research and put together speeches together. You will have this week to conclude this research. As you are researching
