To serve as a tool for school leaders to gauge their current family-school partnerships.
It is designed to integrate well with your school improvement planning process, to provide opportunities to strengthen your family-school partnerships, and ultimately to improve the success of students.
These constructs map onto research-based frameworks such as Epstein’s framework. PTA, MEA, Teacher’s Unions – they all have these as key areas of parent engagement work.
Research demonstrates that schools can increase family involvement by offering a comprehensive set of services and conditions designed to engage families as true partners in their children’s learning. These services and conditions are divided into six “factors.”
Incorporating rigorous research methods so that the data is reliable and valid. We are planning to publish a study in an academic journal about some of the survey data we have.
