Lots to do from Now to May! Make sure you are keeping up with deadlines for test registration, college applications, and scholarship/financial aid applications. Graduation is MAY 23rd 2019!!!

5 The Common Application
This site can be used as a common site to complete applications to multiple schools. Make sure the school is a Common App member first! Teachers can submit online recommendations.

16 Transcripts A high school transcript is required for each college application. You must request your transcript to be sent. Online transcript requests----- Please allow one week for your transcript request to be processed. Make sure to pay attention to your deadlines! Some schools may require your college transcript during the application process (UNCG, Appalachian). College transcripts must be requested through the college registrar, $10 fee.

17 Letters of Recommendation
Your teachers, counselor and principal are available to write letters of recommendation for you. It may be helpful to provide a resume to the person you are asking to write the recommendation. Provide everyone with the deadlines for each recommendation that you are requesting. It is recommended that you waive your right to view recommendation letters. This gives more credibility to the recommendation in the eyes of the college Check back a week or so prior to your first deadline to ensure recommendations have been completed.

25 College Fair College Fair- October 2, 2018, 5 to 8 p.m. held at Greensboro Coliseum Event Center. Admissions counselors from more than 150 universities, technical colleges, junior colleges and the military will be on hand to answer questions and provide participants with applications and scholarship information. Short sessions is normally held on topics including the SAT, careers, high school graduation requirements and using the Internet to find out about colleges and scholarships.
