Low Mill Outdoor Centre Askrigg, Leyburn, North Yorkshire, DL8 3HZ Registered Charity Year 6 Monday 15th October – Friday 19th October

2 Purpose The purpose of our trip to Low Mill is to give the children:
The opportunity to participate in a range of outdoor activities. The opportunity to develop their independence. The opportunity to develop teamwork and communication skills.

3 Low Mill’s Expectations
To treat everyone with respect at all times, particularly in the language we use and in the way in which we speak to others. To treat the Centre, its grounds and the countryside we work in, with respect and to ensure we use the environment in a way that is compatible with the principles of sustainability. To respect other’s living space and property. To be sensible, responsible and safe. Do not leave the Centre grounds, except on organised activities.

4 Low Mill’s Behaviour Policy
‘For everyone to have a safe and enjoyable time while using Low Mill’s services, we are dependent upon all users considering and respecting the needs of others. Standards of behaviour should be expected in any public place.’ Work with us, and help make your visit safe, enjoyable and rewarding.

Any child with an inhaler needs to keep it with them in a small bag at all times. If they do not have their inhaler with them on an activity, Low Mill will not allow them to participate.

16 Dietary Requirements If your child has any special dietary requirements, please let us know so that we can notify Low Mill. We will encourage the children to eat what has been prepared.

17 Mobile Phones The children will not be allowed to take mobile phones/electrical items to Low Mill. This is because: there is no signal at the Centre; they may be lost or damaged; and we want the children to become more independent.
